Compressed air systems: Water-cooled air compressors and refrigeration dryers
Water-cooled compressed air systems are our first choice when it comes to heat dissipation. For effective cooling of industrial processes, compressors and refrigeration dryers have to move large volumes of air, which requires a great deal of energy: Almost the entire electrical connection energy of an air compressor – even fourfold the amount in the case of a refrigeration dryer – is converted into heat in the process.
Effective dissipation of process heat is best achieved with water-cooled components, as the cooling medium can absorb and dissipate approx. 90 % of the electric motor’s energy. The installation of a water-cooled compressor therefore also places only low demands on the ventilation environment and the cooling performance is not affected by high outside temperatures.
